Did you know that long before there was Plants vs. Zombies, there was Zombies Ate My Neighbors? It is the first widely recognized zombie game. It is a run and gun video game published by Konami in 1993 and was offered for the Super NES and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis platform. It did not become a commercial success but received fair reviews, particularly from Sega-16.com writer Mike Seiblier. He praised the game's featured weapons, sounds, and effects. The Armchair Empire staff also praised the games’ weapon system. Despite its struggles commercially, a sequel titled Ghoul Patrol was released in 1994. Those reviews made it the game one of the best survival games of its era.

The game became a cult classic when zombie movies took over the big screens. It was also was re-released for modern platforms like the Wii Virtual Console and Xbox 360. Game review website IGN gave the game an Editor's Choice Award and announced that the game was one of the most requested games to be included in Wii's VC adaptations. As more gaming platforms have been developed, new survival games were released that took after the path of Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Pc survival games have always been relevant ever since. That said, I think one of its allure is that it is free and you can win without spending too much in the game.     'Don't Starve Together is a survival game for PC. I suppose it solves the problem if it was a problem. Before you can say it's a problem, you need to say how it's a problem. Left 4 Dead solves it, in a way, similarly does every other zombie survival game. From the looks of it, I would reword it to solve the problem of the lack of 'wilderness survival games for PC.'

    'Beautiful and atmospheric. Also, will scare you out of your gourd if you play it at night in an empty house, like I did the night I downloaded it. I know some people are complaining about bugs but I didn't have any problem and I really enjoyed the ride.
