the pillows - REBROADCAST (new album! out September 19!)
•The Pillows have just announced the release date for their 22nd studio album, 『REBROADCAST』. It will be out on September 19 and followed by a Japanese tour spanning from November 23 to March 17.
The album doesn't contain any songs from the soundtrack of the anime series FLCL Progressive or FLCL Alternative. The album will feature 「ぼくのともだち」, which was previously released as a CD single sold exclusively on the band's last two tours and at their official webstore (busters-shop.com).
As usual, the album will be available in standard CD-only edition and first press limited CD+DVD edition. The DVD will contain footage from the New York date on the band's American 『Mono Me You Sun Tour』, as well as the music video for 「ニンゲンドモ」.

Sawao has previously discussed the possibility of 『REBROADCAST』 being The Pillows' final album, and said (rough translation) 'that probably isn't so, but I am recording with those feelings so that I can make an album without having any regrets.' 『REBROADCAST』 certainly promises to be a very special album, so pick up a copy and support The Pillows as they enter into their 30th year!
